Leonardo is a four-year-old from London who loves superheroes and motorcycles. In May 2022, Leonardo was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma and sadly towards the end of frontline treatment scans showed new areas of disease.

Story

my 4 year old nephew, Leonardo is fighting high risk neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. After 14 months of treatment that included 8 cycles of chemotherapy, stem cell transplant, surgery, 5 cycles of immunotherapy and 12 days of radiotherapy, this relentless disease persists.

Further treatment is not available in the UK, but there is a potentially life saving clinical trial that uses Car T cells to attack and kill remaining cancer that is available in Rome. This advanced treatment gives us hope for Leonardo’s recovery but sadly it comes with substantial costs. As a family we are putting all our resources to give Leonardo a chance at a happy and healthy life but we realise we cannot do it alone and that the wider support is essential to help us reach this goal.

Therefore, I am launching this fundraising campaign where I will run 100km in September for this cause. Please consider making a donation if you can to help Leonardo access this advanced treatment.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Anya
