Story
On 3rd October 2023 Leigh (46) unexpectedly tragically died of a cardiac arrest at home with his loving wife, two boys and two close friends. Leigh lee was larger than life, fun, crazy, energetic, loyal, caring, thoughtful successful, brilliant Dad, son, brother, friend and husband.
One of the things Leigh loved to do was climb mountains, especially those in Snowdonia. He'd climbed Snowdon growing up with his wonderful Dad Geoff, another time with his school pals including Gaz by his side, with Anna (the wife) 15 years ago when he was determined to not let the hail & 25mph winds get the better of the Rembos, and the most recent attempt with Gaz, Jon, Glen and Steveo, the weather was against them that day and the pub seemed a safer option!
Leigh was determined to take the boys up Snowdon, unfortuantley he and Joe & Sam, didn't get the opportunity to enjoy and share this experience together.
We (family & friends) are collectively taking the boys up Snowdon like Leigh wanted to do this Father's Day weekend. Whilst doing so we are raising money for a great charity CRY that aims to save young lives from fatal cardiac conditions. CRY are continuing to support the process in exploring why this happened to Leigh and support Joe, Sam and family members with any underlying fatal cardiac conditions.
Please help us raise money to potenially save another Dad, Mum, Brother, Sister, friend to a sudden fatal cardiac arrest, and not leave a family without their loved one. Thank you xx
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.
By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
