Story
A year on from its start, the conflict in Sudan has forced millions of people to flee their homes and they are now facing yet another crisis – hunger.
"At least 25 million Sudanese need immediate, emergency help. Families are already going hungry and famine is looming. This crisis threatens to become the worst in living memory”. (Telley Sadia, CAFOD’s Country Representative for Sudan)
How can you help?
• £5 can provide clean water to a family
• £22 can provide essential medicine and hygiene kits
• £40 can provide emergency shelter for a refugee family
• £50 can provide emergency food packages
I will be walking for clean water to be provided to families.
Please support my steps at the Wirral Coastal Walk as a sign of solidarity towards all the children, women and elderly forced to flee their homes and walk in dire circumstances towards a safe haven.
The Wirral Coastal Walk is a 20 mile walk and each single step will be my act of solidarity to the plight of all the families displaced during the Sudan Conflict.
Access to Clean Water is the ultimate basic right to support living while being forced to flee your home.
