The Light Project Peterborough run The Garden House, a Homeless Hub in the centre of our city that offers a wide range of support for those who are are homeless or sleeping rough across the city.

Between April 2022 and March 2023, 629 individuals visited The Garden House needing support and every month since then more people are being presented to us as homeless. To reduce and prevent homelessness, we need to work together to help make Peterborough a better place for everyone.

I chair the charity 'Safer off the Streets Peterborough Partnership', The Light Project is one of our partners and I want to show my support for the great work they carry out, by taking part in their 'Big Sleep Out'. It will be an eye opener for me and many of those that take part, to get just a tiny insight into what it is like to sleep on the street.
