Story
20 years ago my Dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour and just a few months later we lost him.
My Dad was only in his 50s, fit and well yet there was very little treatment to help him and we knew almost immediately that there was no treatment.
We watched him very quickly go downhill and all too soon we had to say goodbye.
This year I needed a to do something to remember him by. I decided on a running challenge, I am as most of you know not someone who loves to run, but on 31st December 2023 I decided in 2024 I would run 600 miles for Brain Tumour research. This is definitely a challenge for me but I will do it.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
