Walking the distance of Cheltenham to Edinburgh (340 miles)

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

My journey starts on the 1st of March and I will be walking 18 miles every week until I make it to Edinburgh castle on or before the 11th July! Actually walking to Edinburgh would take a lot of planning so walking the equivalent distance is more achievable and works better alongside uni life.

I am fundraising for Parkinson’s UK by walking the distance of Cheltenham to Edinburgh. Parkinson’s UK is a charity that I want to support as my granddad has Parkinson’s and I have seen how it has affected and impacted his life. I want to be able to help fund the research and support systems that they have in place.

The Parkinson’s website states that: ‘Around 153,000 people live with Parkinson’s in the UK. And it's the fastest growing neurological condition in the world.’
