I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2022.

After a mastectomy in November I started 8 rounds of chemotherapy at the Oban Macmillan day bed unit in January.

There the nurses and assistants looked after me with diligence and care. There was humour and encouragement, advise and lots and lots of human warmth.

So while any of the money raised here goes to Macmillan general funds, I am running this 10k especially in admiration of the work of the fabulous Macmillan nurses and assistants at Oban hospital.
