We are hoping to raise £48,000 which could fund the recruitment, training and salary of a nurse for a year, to ensure more people in Coventry and Warwickshire can access quality palliative and end of life care.

Story

To honour Denis’ memory and in support of the incredible Myton Hospice, I’ve decided to lace up my running shoes and tackle a half marathon… I have much work to do and with the help of the amazing Harvey Lawton and The Movement Blueprint to get me race ready AND with your support I am determined to get in the best shape of my life and make it happen in my 70th birthday year.

Denis faced the battle of his life against cancer, and in his final 10 days, the 'Myton at Home Service' shone as a beacon of comfort and support. Their care was nothing short of extraordinary, providing solace and assistance when we needed it most.

Your donation, no matter the size, will fuel the vital work of Myton’s Home Help service, ensuring that others receive the exceptional care that Denis did. My target is £3,600 the cost to fund 10 days of home support. Your generosity can make a meaningful impact not just those fighting this relentless disease but their loved ones in the final days of life.

Please help in making a difference, not just for Denis, but for countless others who will benefit from the unwavering support of Myton Hospices.

Let’s turn pain into purpose, one step at a time.

UPDATE: In November I fell down some concrete steps resulting in a complete rupture of the ATFL ligament in my left ankle. It means the timescale has moved and I shall sign up for 2026 instead BUT you can be sure I will do it.
