Story
Dear loved one,
Thank you for clicking on this link link and for sharing it around, I really appreciate it! You can donate from any country and in any currency.
What is this?
From Tuesday December 24th to Saturday December 28th 2024 I'll be in London volunteering at my beloved Crisis at Christmas again. This is my tenth (!!) year of volunteering since I started in 2010.
What is Crisis at Christmas?
A week where buildings across the UK open their doors to anyone who wants or needs a place to stay, get hot food, socialise, and get healthcare, housing advice and welfare. In 2023, over 3,400 people visited a centre as a guest, at a time of year when many services and shelters are closed. These centres need donations and volunteers to run.
Why did you send me this link?
It's so awkward to talk about money, I'm so sorry! Instead of ever buying me a drink, christmas or birthday gift, or even being nice to me, please consider donating. I've seen over how far a little dolla goes. The money would go to:
- Hot meals including three course Christmas dinner with crackers!
- Medical help from doctors, nurses, dentists, podiatrists, physiotherapists, and whoever else they can get that year
- A safe and warm place to sleep from the 23rd to 29th of December
- Legal and social advice on housing, employment, welfare and benefits
- Hot showers, IT help, karaoke, arts and crafts, and help with CVs
- Clothing, shoes, bags and toiletries
- Friendly chats with volunteers like me
- A safe and warm doggie day care
- The chance to leave homelessness behind for good.
Over 250,000 households in Britain experienced homelessness in 2023! With high inflation, expensive food and long waits for NHS care, I am worried that more and more people will be needing help in 2024. Therefore I kindly ask you to donate (if you can) as much as you are comfortable giving. In 2023 I managed to raise £1,004 from 31 donors and I really hope to beat that for 2024.
What if I want to do more?

Ten years have flown by and whilst I can't wait to volunteer, I am so sad that something like Crisis at Christmas is needed.
Lots of love and merry wishes,
