Dear friends and family,

I am excited to share that I have done it again and signed up for this year's C2C Cycle Challenge.

Starting on the 6th June, our incredible team will embark on a journey of 234 miles (377 km) from Dumbarton to Aberdeen, navigating the breathtaking Scottish landscapes and tackling the crazy climb over the Lecht!

This year, I'm delighted to be riding for Teddy Bear Playgroup.

The Teddy Bear Playgroup is a developmental playgroup based in Buckie that provides education, care and support for pre-school children with additional support needs and their families. Our qualified staff work with the children daily, providing specialised nursery education, tailored to the specific needs of each individual child, whilst also offering valuable respite to parents and carers.

The Teddy Bear Playgroup has been running as a registered charity for almost forty years and has consistently delivered improvements in the development, progress and outcomes for hundreds of children, with additional support needs, during this time.

Although based in Buckie, Teddies are now receiving an increasing number of referrals from Keith, Fochabers and the wider Moray area. Many of these families do not have the means or ability to transport their children to us for the specialised nursery provision that they need and deserve. We would like to put any money raised towards providing transportation to Teddies, which would enable the group to distribute a more equitable allocation of spaces at the playgroup.

As well as providing transportation to and from Teddies, the group would also be able to take the children on outings, such as to the beach, park, swimming pool or soft-play centre, allowing them to enjoy a much wider variety of developmental experiences than our current situation allows.
