Story
Barry and I are taking part in the Bridgnorth firewalk in memory of our son Steven Holbrook on the 24th of February, which would have been Steve 45th birthday. Steve was diagnosed in 2015 with a grade iv brain tumour. After a short hard fought and very brave battle he sadly lost his fight in November 2016 at the age of 37. Not only leaving us and his brother Adam. Steve left his wife Carrie and two children Emma and Mason.Steve's lasting wish was for us all as a family and friends to carry on fundraising to help other's with this devastating disease, to which we are still happily doing to keep his memory and wishes alive.Braintumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
