Story
Angel Of Rage is dedicated to the memory of Anj Avraam, a talented musician, artist, writer and pioneer of the local alternative music scene here in Worcester.
He was known back in the day in the scene as the lead singer of the local thrash band X-10-8 and then later on the nu metal band Wisefleaf. He was also the co-front man in the Hip Hop / cross-genre band Case Closed.
Anj also used to do mentor work at local youth centres, as well as helping other musicians to record their music. He was also well known for hosting a popular open mic night at Vue Bar in Worcester.
Sadly Anj passed away suddenly after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2021 at the age of just 42. His time was cut short, and he had so much more to give creatively.
Tragically this type of story is not at all uncommon when it comes to this particular cancer.
It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case.
Pancreatic Cancer UK is dedicated to taking on this injustice using every possible means. They're supporting people with pancreatic cancer now, campaigning, and funding vital research to transform the future. Help them to make the breakthroughs that people with pancreatic cancer so desperately need.
Anj was a big inspiration to everyone around him and extremely loved by those who knew him, and will always be remembered as an energetic, talented, unique person who managed to cram so much into such a short life.
Please help us to immortalise the memory of this amazing person who inspired and helped so many, by spreading the word about our event and if you can, by making whatever donation you can to our Just Giving page to help us reach our goal of raising £1000 for Pancreatic Cancer UK to support the incredible work they are doing.
And for now, don't forget to put the Saturday 7th September in your diaries!
