Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Following the Saraha 100k Sahara Challenge last year for the ABF Soldiers Charity Wales, this year I am taking on the 4100m climb up Mount Toubkal, Atlas Mountain Morocco for Climb 2 Recovery. The climb will be over 4 days to allow for acclimatisation, and weather to summit! The challenge has increased as it is now the climb is complicated with Snow fall.

Toubkal or Tubkal is a mountain peak in southwestern Morocco, located in the Toubkal National Park. At 4,167 m, it is the highest peak in Morocco, the Atlas Mountains, North Africa and the Arab world.

About Climb 2 Recovery

Set up by wounded veterans for other wounded, injured and sick veterans and service personnel, Climb2Recovery is a charity that offers climbing courses to help with both physical and mental recovery. They aim to make the sport more accessible to both beginners and experienced climbers, whatever their current abilities.

Since 2016, they have created a whole range of courses and activities for the WIS community, from Alpine training in Chamonix to beginners’ sessions in the UK and sports climbing expeditions in Spain. Through the UK courses, veterans can also go on to develop a fulfilling career in climbing with the chance to qualify as rock climbing instructors themselves.
