Story
Along with legendary former Manchester United captain Bryan Robson and other reds, Andy Mitten will try to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in October in aid of the Manchester United's charitable foundation. Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest single free-standing mountain above sea level in the world: 5,895 m above sea level and 4,900 m above its plateau base. The trip will take around 12 days.
Every penny in sponsorship is appreciated. And it will all go to helping young people in Greater Manchester via the foundation. Youngsters who seldom venture 10 minutes from their front door, who don't get to have day out at the seaside or the hills around Manchester, visit a theatre or a concert. The Foundation wants to inspire young people to build a better life for themselves and the communities where they live. Dedicated staff deliver educational and community outreach programmes to help young people make positive choices in their lives
