Story

In May 2023 Andy lost his dad to Dementia.

Dementia is a terrible disease and strips nearly all connection and interaction with someone who you love and care about.

Not only are Lucy and Andy both doing the Manchester Marathon in April 2024, some 42k each, but Andy has also signed up to do Hamburg Ironman 6 weeks after the Manchester Marathon! (3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42km run)!

In total - Its the equivalent of swimming from Cardiff to Bristol. Cycling from London to Bristol and running from London to Peterborough!

Lucy decided sensibly to stick just to the gruelling 42km Manchester Marathon and will be support crew for the Hamburg Ironman event!

Sadly 1 in 3 people born in the UK today will develop Dementia in their lifetime, an incredibly high statistic and one that will touch most of us in some way reading this post, with that, please do give generously and hopefully we can change the outcome of many people suffering with this disease .
