Story
In April 2024, we experienced the sudden and heartbreaking loss of our dear friend and colleague, Andy Tibbs, to meningitis.
Andy was one in million. He was always there to offer advice, support, an encouraging word. Over the past year we've been continually reminded of the hole he leaves in the team with the question 'what would Andy do?' often asked.
Clearly the loss of Andy goes far beyond Acacium Group to his wonderful family and friends. Whilst we miss him hugely, we're acutely aware of the loss for his amazing wife Karen, and his two incredible children. No family should ever have to lose their Andy.
To honour Andy’s memory and raise awareness about this silent and swift disease, 17 of Andy’s colleagues from Acacium Group will be participating in the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 6th April 2025, along with various fundraising initiatives throughout the year. Our goal is to support Meningitis Now, a remarkable organisation dedicated to funding crucial research, offering support to patients and their families, and educating the public about meningitis.
We ask for your support in this endeavour. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. Your generosity will not only pay tribute to Andy’s life but will also provide hope and support to countless others who might be affected by this terrible disease in the future.
Please wish us luck and follow our journey on this page, social media, with experienced runners, and newbies picking up their running trainers for the first time we need all the encouragement.
