Andy loved and connected with all animals, particularly dogs, often more than he did humans. This is especially obvious as I try to find photos of Andy by himself, and nearly every picture has a dog next to him. Andy grew up with dogs, Duke, Kola, Ziggy and Bella, so was always surrounded by them. Andy was a big fan of 'Borrow my Doggy' - this was until Bertie (a best mate of Andy's) and Frank came along (my brother's Iggy's) and we had them for sleepovers as often as we could. When backpacking or holidaying around different countries and just anytime we would go on a walk, Andy would instantly be wanting to pet any dog he met. Recently we started walking dogs for a local Cardiff-based dog rescue. Andy and myself had hoped to at some point adopt a dog and he really did love greyhounds.

Greyhound Rescue Wales is the charity for greyhounds and lurchers in Wales. Alongside rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs, they raise awareness of the issues facing these breeds and support the movement to end greyhound racing.
