A word from Andy -

In August of this year , I was diagnosed for a second time with cancer which this time around has spread to my liver , spleen , lungs , lymph nodes and bones . It’s incurable and has meant that I am receiving palliative care through immunotherapy and radiotherapy at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge , and pain relief and end of life support through my local hospice , St Elizabeth Hospice , in Ipswich

The hospice is there to help people living with progressive and life limiting illnesses and I can testify to the wonderful work that they do

It’s an independent Suffolk charity which every year delivers care to over 4000 patients and their families throughout East Suffolk.

These services cost £12 million to facilitate each year with the charity raising 70% of funds through revenue streams and the generosity of the community through support of its charity shops and fundraising activities

I have been fortunate enough over the last decade to have been part of a musical covers band called Flaming Cheek , and we have played up and down the country in a whole host of different venues

Now we’re going to put ourselves to really good use and raise some much needed funds for St Elizabeth Hospice

On December 14th , starting at 6.30 pm , we will be playing at Woodbridge Rugby Club , Bromeswell, IP12 2PP when we will be playing songs from our set list in return for donations made . There will be hot food and bars on the go , and our aim will be to raise as much as we can and have a really good night at the same time .
