Campaign by The University of Queensland (RCN ABN: 63 942 912 684)
Help researchers at the Queensland Brain Institute to tackle some of the greatest need areas in health, such as ageing dementia, stroke, autism, depression and anxiety, motor neurone disease, schizophrenia and spinal cord injury.

Story

In our shared experience, 1 in 2 of us will be faced with a mental health diagnosis. Anxiety, depression, psychosis. Many of us avoid talking about it. So I will. I have schizophrenia. And that will not stop me. How far can I go if I will not be stopped? I'm taking this way too literally, running a 100km ultramarathon. My goal is to fundraise for life-changing research at the University of Queensland's Queensland Brain Institute (QBI). QBI is unlocking the mysteries of the brain to create better mental health for all. We need this research. For many, the current treatment options are not enough to end their pain. I, personally, have spent over a year in hospital. I'm extending upon my own pain, by challenging myself to complete this ultramarathon. How can you contribute? A donation as small as $50 could make a massive difference to countless lives. Thank you!
