Fundraising for Brain Tumour Research
Fundraising for Brain Tumour Research
In the traditional rush for top performers in the transfer window, the Marc Wilding Fan Club team are pleased to announce another confirmed member of the Marathon team.
Please, please help us raise vital funds for this excellent charity! I would love to raise enough to fund a whole days research.
Any funds will go towards the team effort to raise £20000, there are many other events planning over the coming months. I don’t ask often so please, please consider parting with a couple of quid.
Thanks for reading, I’m off to panic train 😬😂
We are fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK.
It costs £2740 to fund 1 days research so we hope to raise enough to fund 7 days (or many more if possible!)!
In April this year, Marc Wilding, a great friend to so many, was diagnosed with terminal Glioblastoma Multiform.
To say this was a devastating diagnosis for him, for his family and for his friends is an understatement.
He has had a craniotomy to get rid of one of the unwelcome bastards, which was successful, however Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy start early June to fight off the inoperable!
We have seen first hand the affects of what this disease can do to a person and whilst Marc is absolutely fighting fit and taking it all in his stride (as those that know him would expect) anything we can do to help this community come up with a cure and further their research for what we know is an aggressive type of cancer, we will do!
Multiple people will take part in multiple events across the next year to raise as much as we possibly can and we appreciate each and every one of you who support us along the way.
