Story
63% of the prison population have been previously excluded from school, which shows just how drastically a school exclusion can affect a young persons life. Not only is this devastating for the young person, but this is also has a large societal cost of £370,000 per excluded young person over a lifetime. This is a huge price to pay both for us and for those young people whose prospects have been written off. This is why Lawrence Dallaglios charity, Dallaglio RugbyWorks, strives to change the lives of these young people, disengaged from education, by teaching them key life skills to help them build more positive and productive futures for themselves.
I am once again taking part in the Dallaglio Cycle Slam to raise vital funds in order to give these young people the chance of finding themselves a place in society and realising the potential that exists in each of us.
Thank you so much for your support.
