Eric, our lovely dad, passed away on 3rd April 2024 after a short illness. We are heartbroken.

Dad was smart, kind and funny and left an impression on everyone he met.

In September 2012 he underwent lifesaving surgery to remove a benign tumour from his brain. While his life was certainly impacted by this illness, there is no doubt that we are fortunate to have had these extra years with him and this was thanks to the amazing treatment and team at Salford Royal Hospital. He was fit enough to travel and have unforgettable life experiences with our mum, Fran. It also allowed him the time to enjoy being a very proud grandad to Ellen, Ewan and Elsie. He also enjoyed spending time with his son in law Brian, and in his last few years, he welcomed Jill and Anna into his family and thought the world of them. Dad was a family man through and through.

In June 2023 Salford also saved Andrew’s life after a brain haemorrhage and stroke. Our Dad spoke often about his amazing treatment there and he knew Andrew was in safe hands. We know how worthy a cause this charity is. We owe everything to Salford Royal. Please give what you can on behalf of our Dad.
