Story

I’m joining Adam Walsh on his Bridge2Bridge journey…

In September, I will be cycling 212 miles with Adam and some other peddlers from the Severn Bridge to the Humber Bridge in just two days!

As we all get in our Lycra, ready to travel from one bridge to another, we will all be thinking about The Sailors’ Children’s Society, whom we are fundraising money for. This is an incredible charity and I can’t wait to raise enough money to make a positive impact on the families and children, whether that be providing children with school uniforms, providing families with respite breaks or providing children with access to extracurricular activities and the kits needed for them.

Even better, the money raised will be double matched by the John Good Group’s incredible Employee Giving Programme. This means that for every £1 raised, the John Good Group will double it.

Sailors’ Children’s Society is dedicated to offering continuous assistance to children whose parents are employed in the Maritime industry and are facing distressing circumstances, such as the loss of a loved one, terminal illness diagnosis, or marital relationship breakdowns. Supporting a remarkable charity like this, which provides essential aid to the families within the industries we engage with, holds great significance.

Mark your calendars for September and watch out for me and the team cycling for the best part of 20 hours!
