Great Scottish Run Half Marathon 2024 · 6 October 2024 ·

We are here for anyone with epilepsy, their families, carers and employers. We campaign for improved healthcare and an end to stigma, influence policies that will affect the health, educational and social welfare of people with epilepsy and provide quality information and support services.

Story

Along with a couple of friends, I will be running the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon in October. Have ran in streaks for a number of years now but this will be a first attempt at a proper organised race and I am excited to test my historically injury addled body in such a manner.

We’ve decided to use the occasion to raise funds for Epilepsy Scotland, a charity close to our hearts and which our football team has raised funds for over the past decade, in memory of our great friend and team mate Martin Kelly.

Epilepsy remains a massively misunderstood condition and Epilepsy Scotland does a fantastic job in not only raising awareness but also in aiding those living with the condition and their families.

Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.
