Andy’s fundraiser for Sense

Box Hill Super Climb · 22 September 2024 ·
UPDATE: The charity (Sense) has taken the difficult decision to cancel the event that was planned for 22nd September due to not getting enough mad people like me signed up to make it financially viable.
HOWEVER, I will still be taking on the challenge independently, and I will massively increase the challenge by making it a 24hr event rather than the original planned 8 hours!! I will complete as many ascents (and descents) of the famous zig-zag road as my body and mind will allow over a 24hr period, starting in the evening in Monday 16 September and finishing the following evening. My ultimate goal is to complete 74 laps, which would equate to riding up and down Mt Everest (8848M ascent, 8848M descent)!
Please sponsor me if you can. Any amount, however small or big, will be gratefully received and will help this amazing charity do their work to help people with complex disabilities 🙏

On Sunday 22nd September I will be taking on what is quite possibly my toughest charity fundraising challenge yet - attempting to ride my bike up and down Surrey’s famous Box Hill zig-zag road repeatedly for 8 hours! I hope to be able to complete the 5km circuit 30 times, for a total distance of 150km and total ascent of 3500M (equivalent to 2.6 ascents of Ben Nevis!). This will be a challenge of both my physical and mental endurance. I’m doing all this to raise vital funds for an amazing charity, Sense, which provides support to deaf-blind children and adults and to people with other complex disabilities. In my volunteering role at Companion Cycling I have seen first hand how this charity provides essential support to people who need it. Please help me to raise as much as I can for this wonderful charity. Every pound counts and I will be most grateful for any amount, no matter how big or small 🙏
