Story
Shooting Star Children's Hospices cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families across Surrey and London.
Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months or years, we are here to make every moment count. We support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.
To support the Shooting Star Charity this year I will be attempting to ride 500km in one go around Richmond Park - dressed as an Elf while towing Santa in his Sleigh (Elf 1). The intensity of this ride will be nothing like what many babies, children and young people and their families are going through especially at this time of year.
Last year I attended a charity Santa's ride and I was able to see some of the children at a Shooting Star Hospice of which I witnessed the joy on their faces when seeing like minded cyclist dressed in many different types of festive outfits singing Christmas carols. It was heart warming but at the same time saddening, knowing that they may not see the next Christmas due to their life - limiting condition.
I therefore ask all who can, to help me raise as much as possible for these children and their families so they too can have a Very Merry Christmas together like you and I.
Thank you for your support.
