Story
On Saturday 10th June I will be part of a team of 13 cyclists who will attempt a gruelling, trans-Pennine route of 150 miles, finishing at Sedbergh School in Cumbria by 6pm on Sunday 11th June. Our aim is to support Siobhan’s Trust whose mission is to provide food and practical support to the huge number of internally displaced Ukrainians, traumatised by the Russian invasion of their homeland.
Siobhan’s Trust takes food, clothing and toys to Ukrainian refugees. They can feed up to 4,000 refugees per day from six mobile kitchens supplying pizza and hot drinks and snacks as well as bringing music, dancing and laughter to remind the Ukrainians that they are not forgotten.
The work of Siobhan's Trust is as much about raising spirits and giving hope as much as feeding the hungry.
