Story
Since hanging up my running shoes 12 years ago and losing any fitness I once had, I have decided to come out of retirement and challenge myself to my longest run ever.
As you may be aware, I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 7th April 2024 to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy charity Action Duchennes.
My 4 year old nephew Oscar has recently been diagnosed with this rare neuromuscular disease which affects boys from a young age. Any support would be gratefully received in order to raise awareness & funds to aid research into this life changing condition.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Action Duchenne has a very clear vision: a world where lives are no longer limited by Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
We have three core objectives:
- Funding research for everyone living with Duchenne
- Cutting-edge science education programmes
- World-class support for Duchenne families
While we hope that research and clinical trials will one day lead to a treatment, or cure, for Duchenne, we believe it is vital to support families living with the condition today. We support families from diagnosis through their whole journey.
