Story
I’m running non stop along the Two Moors Way from Wembury, near Plymouth, on the south coast of Devon to Lynmouth on the north coast.
The route is 112 miles long and crosses both Dartmoor and Exmoor. Nearly all off road on footpaths, it has over 11000 feet of incline which is the equivalent of scaling Mount Snowdon more than 3 times.
As many of you know my sister gave birth to the gorgeous Reuben during lockdown 2020. He was born with an extremely rare genetic disorder called “Lowes Syndrome”. He is making superb progress and the Calvert trust is a fantastic local charity that help children similar to him.
I am setting myself the challenge of completing the run in just over 24 hours to raise as much as possible for an awesome charity.
Calvert Exmoor is an adventure centre that enables people with physical, learning, behavioural and sensory disabilities to experience exciting, challenging and enjoyable activities, together with their friends and families.
As a charity, we need to raise in excess of £400,000 each year to help those with disabilities to conquer their goals with a break at our all-inclusive centre. Every donation, no matter how large or small, helps our disabled guests enjoy their activities and achieve their full potential. Thank you for your support.
