In honor of Luke Brodell, who suffered cardiac arrest while at a sports practice and was saved by his coachs quick respronse with an AED, this fund was established to place life-saving AEDs in schools throughout our community.

Story

Hello! My name is Brianna Simpson, and I want to help my mentor, Adalai Weeks, raise $1500 for an AED for Valley View! Miss Adalai is Miss Historic Batesville’s Teen and is competing in Miss Arkansas Teen! She is an amazing role model, not only because I want to be a pageant Queen like her, but because she has amazing platforms that are special to me, CASA, because I am adopted, and Heart Health, because of Mr. Al’s son❤️!

“Mr. Al, the guy that works with my mom and steals my french fries😂, his son’s heart stopped beating while playing baseball and Mr. Al had to save his heart with a special machine called an AED! I’m so glad that he had this machine that saved Luke’s life! Luke is in college now and I know Mr. Al loves him so much and so does his Mom! Please help me put one of these special machines in Valley View!”

Thank you!

An AED, or automated external defibrillator, is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It's a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use, medical device that can analyze the heart's rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.

Your support will ensure that this life-saving device is within reach when it counts!
