Story
The Grange recently installed a greenhouse in our walled garden to expand horticulture skills sessions year-round for the people we support. However, the current route to the greenhouse contains uneven soil and aggregate, making it inaccessible for those with mobility issues or wheelchairs.
We would like to install a 2.5m wide, 72m long permeable paved path using recycled materials leading from the garden entrance to the greenhouse. We also plan a circular path near the entrance where the people we support will design a mosaic centerpiece. The light-colored paving will also help partially sighted individuals navigate safely.
The total cost is estimated around £38,000. This project will enable full accessibility and beautify our award-winning walled garden.
