Story
Hi! I’m Amy Tufnail, and on the 31st August I’m skydiving out of a plane 15,000 feet high with my 80 year old Nan (dressed as Spiderman)
Thirteen years ago my family lost our beloved Spencer Bates to Motor Neurone Disease. He left behind so many people that loved him and still do, but we all know he is still with us in our hearts. For years my family has been dedicated to raising money to help find a cure to this horrible disease, including my uncle Stewart who completed every Olympic challenge during the last Olympics in memory of his brother.
My amazing (and at times crazy) Nan has decided to take on a series of events to raise money in memory of Spenny and everyone else affected by this disease. Her devotion passion is something that deeply inspires me and I hope to carry it with me forever. So if that means doing something I never EVER thought I’d do, then so be it! I’m absolutely terrified but I know it’ll be a magical day.
Our hope is to raise awareness and money to help find a cure for this disease. And I know with the support of friends and family we can make this happen!
Fingers crossed I land on my feet 🤞❤️
