Story
As many of you will know, spreading the awareness of mental health and looking after peoples mental health in general is something I am extremely passionate about.
Not only have I have experienced first hand how it can feel to have a mental illness but, most recently, I have experienced how it feels seeing people you love suffer with their mental health.
Not too long ago, we got the fright of our lives and I have never felt so helpless. I wanted to do everything I could to help but, for a while, there was nothing I could do. If it wasn’t for mental health charities, like mental health foundation, I would not have been able to learn about what they were going through and understand what was going on/what I could do to help.
Running and proving myself wrong with what I believe myself to be capable of has been something that has helped me overcome the ups and downs of life so it felt fitting to run London marathon for Mental Health Foundation in honour of my nearest and dearest who have battled with their mental health.
I hope in running this marathon, I show everyone the importance of learning more about mental health, how to manage their own and those around them and raise awareness of the amazing work the MHF charity is doing.
I hope I remind everyone how strong and capable they are.
I hope I show my favourite flower how much she means to us (if u know, u know x x)
