41st Royal Sutton Fun Run · 2 June 2024 ·

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

Dementia is a truly horrible disease. Unfortunately for us we have witnessed the effects of it on multiple members of our family and friends.

It continues to play a role in our lives and so we (myself, Jon and Zoe) are running the Royal Sutton Fun Run to help raise awareness and some vital funds towards care and hopefully one day a cure with Dementia UK.

The run is 8.5 miles long around Sutton Coldfield and Sutton park on Sunday 2nd June.

Running doesn’t come natural to me. It’s not fun and I don’t enjoy it 🤣 This means even more and on a personal note on how I’ve kicked myself into gear and got a whole lot fitter over the last couple of years. So, hopefully achieving this while helping a charity very much in-need may inspire others to do the same.

So please, if you can, we would really appreciate any small donation towards our cause. But if you’re not able too, feel free to come down and cheer us on! God knows I’ll need all the support I can get to drag myself around the course 🙈

Thank you! 🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️ 😥 🩵
