Story
*UPDATE: As someone who has always cared about fitness and runs regularly, when I signed up to do this half I was super excited about the training and the build up to it. Unfortunately on 15th November I had a bit of an accident where I fractured my pelvis in 3 places. Not only has this completely put a halt to my training but mentally it’s put me in a terrible place. I have always used exercise as a coping mechanism so being completely immobile has brought up emotions I didn’t know existed within me.
As I’ve signed up to do this half for Mind, pushing myself to still go ahead has become even more important. When I finally get back to training it may be slow and my time on the day may not be what I wanted it to be but you’ll see me there on the 26th May with my Mind vest on giving it my all!*
Hey everyone!
On May 26th I'll be running the Manchester Half Marathon to support the incredible work of Mind.
Mind is a vital organisation dedicated to providing support, resources, and advocacy for individuals living with mental health issues. They work tirelessly to raise awareness and improve the overall well-being of those affected by mental health challenges.
1 in 4 adults struggle with their mental health and there's often a stigma around asking for help. Mind works to reduce this stigma and aim to make a positive difference in the the lives of those facing mental health challenges.
Any donation you could make would mean the world to me no matter how small. And the best part is, my employer Hitachi Solutions will match all donations up to £250, so whatever you donate is effectively doubled!
Thank you so much for your generosity and support.
