Story
I’m fundraising for St Ann’s Hospice, a remarkable charity that has been by my side since I was referred them after diagnose of my long-term health conditions a few years ago.
Although my mobility has decreased, meaning a sponsored walk is beyond my reach, I'm thrilled to take on an exciting challenge: a firewalk! Yes, that’s right — I’ll be braving a 20-foot stretch of wood embers burning at an incredible 1236°F.
St Ann’s is an amazing organisation that goes above and beyond to meet the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of people facing cancer and non-cancer life-limiting illnesses and to help maintain their dignity. They provide specialist care for people at every stage of their journey, supporting not only patients but their loved ones too.
This challenge is my way of helping St Ann’s to continue offering their life-changing support to others who need it.
With only a third of their funding coming from the NHS, St Ann's Hospice needs to raise £20,000 each day to continue delivering these essential services.
Every donation—big or small—will go to St Ann's Hospice, helping them continue their invaluable work in our community.
Thank you and wish me luck!
