Belfast Marathon 2025 - Amy's fundraiser for Brain Tumour Research

Belfast Marathon 2025 · 4 May 2025 ·
GUTTED doesn't capture my emotions when I was diagnosed with my second brain tumour on 13 December 2024.
From the highest of highs - getting told the MRI was clear on 7/11/24 to being in the same room with the same 3 people (I call them the dream team) to the lowest of lows just 6 weeks later being told I had another tumour this time on the other side, this time inoperable with just 2 weeks radiotherapy then however much chemotherapy I could tolerate.
Chemo might have to pause at the start of may so I can run the Belfast marathon on May 4th 2025.
£3,000 will mean I've raised over £20,000 for various charities who have played a huge part in my journey since 2015.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
