We urgently need a new home for our creative participation work which aims to: reduce social isolation; improve mental health; and build confidence. The Old Library is the perfect new space, and we are raising money to reopen it for our community.

Story

I'm doing a 5K inflatable obstacle course in September to raise money for The Corn Exchange Newbury's 'Old Library' project.

Since I started at the Corn Exchange in 2023, the Old Library has been at the forefront of our minds to help bring the historic building back to life. I don't remember the building as a library, but I do remember visiting when it was Prezzo and I am very excited to help make this beautiful building a vibrant arts hub for the Berkshire community. So, myself and my colleagues will be at Newbury Racecourse on Saturday 28 September running, tumbling and probably covered in bruises by the end of it. Please cheer us on by sponsoring me, thank you in advance for supporting the campaign! Stay tuned for lots of photos :)

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT TO OPEN UP THE OLD LIBRARY!

The Corn Exchange Newbury desperately needs a new permanent home for its creative participation work which last year engaged 27,000 people from Newbury and beyond. The Old Library is the perfect new space for this work which uses creative activity to reduce social isolation; improve mental health and build confidence.
