Story
Breast Cancer Now's wear it pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK. Taking place in October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, thousands of amazing people will 'wear it pink' in their communities, schools or workplaces, to help make life-changing research and care happen.
As some of you may know my Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer this year and has been battling her way through chemotherapy. She hasn't been able to work, see her friends and family through most of this due to her immune system being low as well as loosing her hair and feeling pretty awful most days! She will soon be going through an operation and then further treatment of radiotherapy.
It makes you realise how many people are going through the same thing and battling away trying to get through this awful disease. Luckily for my Mum they may have caught this in time, but some people are not as lucky. Whilst the family are there support my Mum, there are many people that do not have this support network and are too scared to get themselves checked out.
We all need to be aware of Breast Cancer for ourselves and for those who we know. Please everyone get yourselves checked even if you feel its nothing, its better to be safe than sorry.
Please help me reach my target to raise money for a great cause. I will be holding a charity day in my place of work @Ayers & Cruiks where we will also be raising money.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you feel like donating then no amount is too small. Thank you in advance! <3
