Story
Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast, shall have his sins forgiven, and he will be saved from the Fire of Hell, and he shall have the same reward as the fasting person, without his reward being diminished at all." (Hadith Ibn Khuzaymah)
£7 – provide a hot iftar meal in Gaza, helping to fight hunger, malnutrition, and starvation.
Be a mercy in Gaza
Nowhere is as hungry as Gaza this Ramadan. 80% of the most hungry people in the world today are in Gaza. Not only are they facing catastrophic levels of hunger, but they are doing so while being besieged, bombed, and in constant fear for their lives.
As you break your fast today, provide the same to a person being starved in Gaza too. Donate, and reap the blessings of providing iftar in the blessed month of Ramadan.
What will each meal provide?
In Gaza, meals will include rice or pasta, as well as potatoes, lentils and beans. This rounded, filling, and nutritious meal will help relieve a person of hunger and reward you with the blessings of an additional fast.
Fight starvation, be a mercy
In Gaza, children have begun dying of hunger. 90% of children under the age of 2, and pregnant and nursing mothers are facing severe food poverty. A man-made and conflict-made famine is worsening each day.
The entire population of Gaza does not have enough food, since October a third a third of people have become one step away from total famine, making this is the fastest decline of a population’s nutrition status ever recorded.
“We have never seen a civilian population made to go so hungry so quickly and so completely.” – U.N. rapporteur on the right to food
As we break our fasts each Maghrib, 2.3 million people in Gaza are struggling to have even a single filling meal. Be a mercy this Ramadan, and help our local team in Gaza to provide hot meals to at least 4,000 people this Ramadan.
