Story
Assalamu Alaykum,
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page and may Allah The Exalted reward you for intention to serve the less fortunate.
As you may know, I am the founder of South Manchester Muslim Walking Group. Since the establishment of this initiative in December 2018, the aim has been to help bring Muslims living in Manchester and the surrounding areas together to go for regular walks within local beautiful natural surroundings to improve our health and wellbeing, as well as to build and expand good relationships between us.
All individuals, couples, families, Muslim reverts, and single/divorcees/Non-Muslims of any age group are welcome to join.
This time along with Islamic Society of Britain (ISB) we have come together for an excellent cause, to invite everybody to raise Sadaqah and remember the less fortunate while joining up on this special occasion.
The walk we're supporting is at Quarry Bank Mill, raising funds at National Zakat Foundation for their Growth Fund. This is your gateway to greater rewards because every £1 SADAQAH you donate to their Growth Fund enables them to raise around £6 in Zakat Insha'Allah.
This allows them to continue to running projects such as the Hardship Relief Fund, which gives grants to vulnerable Muslims in the UK who are unable to pay for basic living costs such as food and healthcare.
It will be a wonderful opportunity to gain the blessings of remembering Allah in a group and giving everyone the chance to give and have good deeds recorded in Muharram, the wonderful first month of the year with many blessed days to seek the mercy of Allah (SWT).
Please donate whatever you can Insha'Allah and do share this with your networks to help us reach our target.
NZF are the largest distributors of Zakat in the UK, having started in 2011. Their charity distribution model is based on the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ of distributing locally to those most in need in our very own communities.
They also use the technology and a specialist team to determine that every recipient of your Zakat is below the Nisab (the threshold that determines if you are owed Zakat) and receives it in a dignified manner respectful to them.
With 2011 census data showing 50% of Muslims face poverty and deprivation and 2021 census showing a similar picture, people apply on their site for Zakat every 3 minutes, so let's keep their great work going.
With our help they can continue to help those we know and may not know, who are in need around us.
Thank you for your support.
JazakAllah Khair,
Dr. Amir Hannan
