One in two of us will receive a cancer diagnosis within our lifetimes. Many families lose loved ones to cancer. By supporting cancer research at Manchester, you are helping to bring us closer to a cure that will be lifechanging for us all.

Story

My grandma was the most awesome woman alive, and it was an honour to love her and be loved by her. Cancer has deeply affected those I love, and I know so many of you will have been impacted by it too.

One in two of us will be diagnosed with cancer in our lifetime. Every two minutes, someone in the UK receives a cancer diagnosis. That’s why, on 18 May 2025, I’m taking part in the Manchester Purple Wave to raise money for life changing cancer research. Manchester is already a world leader in this field, with researchers making discoveries that have a global impact. Many believe they are on the cusp of a breakthrough, but there’s still so much more to do.

With your support, brilliant scientists can keep pushing boundaries and making discoveries that bring hope to so many. If you’re able to, please sponsor me today and be part of something truly life changing. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. :)💜
