Story
On 10th October last year, my little sister, Chloe died suddenly at home (just one month after her 40th birthday). The Ambulance crews were AMAZING that day. From the initial call my panic stricken Mum made to 999 where they calmly talked her through CPR; to the quick response by the crews; and the care and compassion of the paramedics in attendance. They tried everything to bring Chloe back but there was nothing they could do. The crew stayed with us, despite being very busy, supporting us until we felt ready for them to leave.
In memory of Chloe and in support of the brilliant work the South Central Ambulance Service do every day, I am attempting to outrun an ambulance. An ambulance (at Didcot Station) covers on average 143 miles in one shift. From the 9th September (Chloe’s birthday) to 10th October (the first anniversary of her death) I’m aiming to run & cycle more than 143 miles to outrun an ambulance!
If you can spare some change to support my challenge it would mean so much to me and the Ambulance Service. If you fancy joining me on a bike or run one day, I’d love the extra push! Thank you x
