Every year, over 40% of Curve Young Community Company (CYCC) places are offered free of charge.

A CYCC bursary is an invaluable opportunity to learn a wide range of skills in a world class venue: gold-dust, particularly in a city where many families have faced the worst impacts of the cost of living crisis and there have seen ever decreasing opportunities to participate in the arts - and all the arts can offer.

A recent survey conducted 87% of participants stated that engagement with Curve had a very positive impact on their wellbeing, 81% said that they helped them make friends, and 88% felt that they increased their knowledge and skills.

Young people who come into contact with Leicester’s Curve theatre might just find the key to a career in the arts, a massively important sector in our economy. Perhaps more importantly, all are given the opportunity to build their confidence and creativity, becoming able to articulate themselves powerfully and to carry themselves into adult life knowing they are much more likely to meet their huge potential, in whatever career they choose.
