For the past three years, I have been trying to have a baby, but all three pregnancies have ended in early miscarriage. 1 in 5 pregnancies end in miscarriage, and in most cases, there is no cause found.

Tommy’s opened the UK's first national Miscarriage Research Centre in 2016 to understand the causes and prevention of miscarriages, with an aim to halve the number of miscarriages by 2030.

Tommy's also funds research into stillbirth, premature birth, neonatal and maternal death, and provides information and support to pregnant people and families.
