Fundraising for ECHO - Evelina Children's Heart Organisation
Story
Amaris is working on her Charities badge for Brownies. She has decided that she wants to raise money for ECHO. This is because she is a CHD hero and has had 2 open heart surgeries at Evelina Children's Hospital. She wants to support a charity that help children like her.
She is going to do a half marathon bike ride. She has completed a test run and she did 1.39km in 15min. She would like to complete the half marathon within 20 days and complete the challenge before the end of January 2023.
ECHO supports children and young people with heart conditions and their families, who’ve been treated by Evelina London and its network hospitals across the UK. Families are supported at every stage of their heart child’s journey from the moment of diagnosis through childhood, teenage years and during the transition to adult services. ECHO provides practical and emotional support and welcomes families into a community of shared experience and understanding, at times when there is little other help available .
