Story

Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page supporting the MND Association.

I met Linda several years ago when she worked at a local physiotherapy practice. We shared a love of running amongst other things. In 2018 she left work & I later discovered she had been diagnosed with MND.

She & her husband Tony face this cruel disease with great courage, dignity & humour. Despite her deteriorating condition Linda is an inspiration, not letting the fact she can no longer talk, walk unaided or swallow easily get her down. She & Tony are fortunate to have a large, supportive family. My family have also embraced them both, my husband Chris sharing Tony's passion for red wine!

My daughter Laura has been so inspired by Linda that she suggested running the Half Marathon with me! We hope to raise vital funds for MND. Please donate if you can. Linda is only in her mid 60's & had been living an active, healthy life when the disease struck 5 years ago. This illness can affect anyone, so let's work together to try & find a cure.

Thank you SO much for your support, it will sustain & inspire us during those 13.1 miles!
