London Marathon complete I decided to continue to raise money this year and am hoping to reach £5,000 for the Christie to help this I will be taking on the Lake District challenge on September 21st by climbing 10 peaks in 12 hours including Scafell Pike!

In 1989 when I was 9 years old my Mum's life was taken by cancer, a disease she had lived with for 20 years. She spent years of her life in and out of hospital, having various operations including a leg amputation to try and extend her life, when I came along her one wish was to see me grow up.

The Christie was a huge part of our lives and their support and care for her and our family was invaluable and it is an absolute honour to be running for them this year.

My Mum will forever be my hero and her determination and strength will always inspire me, when I think of watching her learn to walk and drive a car with an artificial limb, swim again with one leg, it reminds me that me running 26.2 miles is nothing compared to the years of pain she suffered.
