Computer Futures Salesforce is fundraising for Amanda Beard-Neilson & Cancer Research UK
At Computer Futures - Salesforce, we are celebrating our 5-year anniversary on Thursday 3rd November! 🎉
To celebrate, our Salesforce Practice is going to run or walk 5k for 5 years of being part of the Salesforce Ecosystem 🏃♂️
When I first set up the Salesforce Practice it was apparent from the get-go that the Salesforce Ecosystem is all about being a community, having fun together, being collaborative, sharing your knowledge with others and most importantly being supportive and there for one another 🤝
I remember travelling down from Bristol, very apprehensive, to attend my first ever Salesforce Meet Up. It was the Salesforce London Admin User Group with around 50 – 60 people that I had never met before. As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed and introduced to a very special lady, Amanda Beard-Neilson. When I told Amanda I was a recruitment Consultant, instead of judging me or having a preconception of what I might be like because I was a recruiter, she really made me feel at ease and that my expertise in the Salesforce job market is what a lot of people are interested in. At the time I had no idea what a massive influence she had in the Salesforce community, but I will always remember how welcoming, friendly, bubbly and funny she was – with a large glass of white wine in her hand at all times 😃 🥂
The Salesforce Practice at Computer Futures and I, owe a lot to Amanda, who opened the door and gave me/us the opportunity to work with the Salesforce Ecosystem and to build relationships with some amazing people!
I met with Amanda last night, for the first time since the pandemic and what a lovely evening we had! A bit different to our usual interactions that include alcohol however, the 2.5-hour chat flew by catching up on work, vacations, weddings, the future of Salesforce and Amanda’s cancer story so far. Amanda talked about her cancer story which genuinely left me in awe. Her positivity, resilience, discipline and positive mind set in such a challenging time of her life is something she should be so proud of. She is truly inspirational.
Amanda realised that writing about her cancer journey in her blog really helped to manage her condition. You can read the entries here: https://lnkd.in/g6_dgBZ2
In collaboration with Amanda, we are celebrating our 5-year Anniversary 5k by raising money of her charity of choice, Cancer Research UK.
