Story
To celebrate reaching my half century, I decided to set myself a challenge and since my running days are over plumped for trekking across our beautiful country on the West Highland Way.
For moral/psychological/cake &alcohol sharing, the lovely Sharon Nulty, Mandy McMonagle and Tracy Leishman are donning the walking boots too.
We are committed to walking the 97 miles in 6 days with average of 20miles each day.
We've chosen to raise cash for Epilepsy Connections, a Glasgow based charity close to my heart as they have supported my family over the years - providing days out to the movies or 10 pin bowling for children with additional needs and their siblings to attend as well as activity weekends to Ardentinny, allowing participants to experience kayaking, rock climbing and the very popular Saturday night disco!
They provide much appreciated support and a listening ear for all affected by this condition across Scotland and we would be grateful to any donations big or small to help them continue their invaluable work.
Kind Regards
Amanda, Sharon Tracy and Mandy.
PS: expect many menopausal related updates on our aches and pains as we toil north xxx
